Stormy Weather

I have heard it said that if you don't like the weather in Indiana just wait because it will change. Our weather that we have had in my state over the last few days has been in the national news because of the rain, rain, more rain and tornadoes.

Lucky for me, the mom and dad of the house is that the storms have been to the south of us and we have avoided the unfortunate flooding and devastation from the tornadoes. We are all OK. This is the time of the year in the midwest when special attention is paid to storms as they can be quite severe. We have had several bad storms go through our area in the past two days but again fortunate that the worst missed us.

My heart goes out to all of those in the storm's path and hope soon that things can get back to normal for them. Keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

Now on to some award news! I received the Brillante Weblog Award given to me by Jan's Funny Farm for being multi-talented. I want to thank all of the gang for this honor and I will proudly display it on my blog. I would like to pass this award on to Asta for her love of life and the caring for all who visit at her place.

Congratulations, Sassy. You are indeed multi-talented.

And, yes, the pups did listen to what you said the other day about slowing down when they eat.

We are glad the severe weather missed you and we too feel for any that were in the storms' path. We have a t-storm arriving here as Percy types this.

Asta is a good choice. She is a loving pup who has concern for others. She's also quite an adventurer - like you.

Concats on your award! Looks like stormy weather in your neck of the woods. Our human has been keeping a close eye on Indiana and it looks wet, wet, WET!

The search in on for our missing van. We don't think we can go on vacation with you till we find it!

Much love,

Concatulations on your award Sassy!

We're glad that you are safe and sound Sassy! We've had the same storms, but nothing too horrible (so far just a bit of tree down in the yard). We're looking forward to some more peaceful weather!

Congratulations on your award, dear Sassy! It is very well-deserved. And I'm so relieved that you and your family are okay. What frightening weather!

Storms are scary, I am glad you are OK. Even the BBC news tonight showed some houses being washed away in Whiskconsin where Derby lives.

You know, I think you might be right about there being a little welcome mat somewhere in my garden encouraging all the kitties to come there!
