Sassy & Momo meeting the shuttle crew.

As you all know, today is the day Momo and I reveal what we have been up to. After looking at the photos you can pretty much guess, but we do have a few questions to clear up. We were not in the full astronaut training program but were enrolled in the accelerated program called NASA Space Camp. When Momo and I were on the beach vacationing in Florida we saw an ad saying that NASA was looking for recruits and we filled out all of the necessary paperwork before we headed north; by the time we got home we had been accepted into the program. We would be in the training program that would take us on a secret mission, as important repairs were needed to be made immediately in space.

As you all saw from our post, the training was tough, demanding, trying, and something Momo and I tackled with all of our efforts so we would be ready for our moment in time. The two of us were qualified after all of our training to go into space and help out those at NASA who were depending on us.

Out into space we head for our hook-up.

Notice on the far left of the photo you can see the beach we were on when we vacationed in Florida.

Momo and I started this day with two missions; with one done that left one more to do. We decided that our news conference, held at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, would be a good place to let everycat/dog in on the news. It seems that Karl and Ruis have been on a cruise in Antarctica and several days ago Miss Peach joined them so she also could get some rest and relaxation. I filled the press in on all of the details involving the happenings at Antarctica. The information was published in a nice article in the afternoon newspaper . . .
. . . all are invited; head on over for the big celebration.

Having completed both of our missions today -- the space shuttle and getting the word out about the party for Miss Peach -- we are now ready for our third mission. . .

. . . heading to Antarctica to join Karl's party for Miss Peach's fifteenth birthday and catch up with all of those who are there already. See you soon!

In the words of J.K. Rowling, as said by Ronald Weasley - "Bloody brilliant!"
We worked out some of the details, like the space shuttle part but not the boot camp bit, we mean, training camp.

Sassy, Thanks for stopping by to pick up my crew for the party. I explained to Samaritan that it isn't polite to yell in someone's ear on the phone, and he promised not to do it again. So if he wants to borrow a phone from anyone, it's okay this time.
Have fun.
Jan,

Opus and Roscoe
Opus & Roscoe-Momo and I are glad to be back to earth, there is no place like home. It sure is a great party and I think it is so nice that Karl & Ruis gave us these pretty jackets. How nice we all look nice.
Isn't Miss Peach's party fabulous? Karl and Ruis are the best party organizers ever! *smile*
And wow, how impressive that you and Momo are astronauts! That must be very exciting -- and so challenging, too! I am very proud of both of you! You did a great job, both in your training and on your mission. Delightful pictures, too!
Purrs and snuggles from Marilyn.
Marylin-Oh it was a beautiful party. Karl & Ruis really know how to throw a party. It was so much fun. They really had a lot of cats at that party. Miss Peach looked beautiful. The mission with Momo was fun, I am glad that ya liked everything that we did.
Sassy, You and Momo have sure had a long and interesting day! Thanks for letting me know the whole crew was on their best behavior. After Buddy & Percy posting the photo of Samaritan with a swelled head yesterday, I wasn't too sure whether they would try to pull a prank on her too. And Miss Peach is such a dear, proper Victorian cat.
Rest well.

Purrs Mickey
Jan-Glad everycat/doggie had fun, they were so good today.
